How to Buy a Cheap Used Car
Many of us dream of buying a cheap used car. Well, let’s amend that a bit. Many people dream of buying a cheap, good, used car. Unfortunately it’s all too easy to get a cheap used car that’s, well, cheap. You’ve probably already got one of those, though. Here is how you can get one of the cheap, good used cars.
There are several things to consider. The first thing to think about when you’re looking for a used car is what your requirements are in a vehicle. If you need to drive yourself 40 miles a day to work, a Chevy Suburban is probably not your best choice. Conversely, if you take your family of 7 on trips while towing your boat, a Suburban would be a great vehicle for you. You can save quite a bit of money by getting only what you really need in a vehicle. While that may not be very exciting, the money you save will be.
Once you’ve decided what type of vehicle suits your needs the best, narrow down which vehicles in that category will be the most desirable. The less picky you are when it comes to things such as colors, brand, and features, the easier it will be to get a great used car, cheap. A few features you shouldn’t overlook are safety and reliability. After all you, and possibly your family, will depend on this car, and if you think about it, your lives are at stake every time you ride in it. Check Consumer Reports and MSN autos for reliability figures. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety does some very good tests to determine the vehicle safety in a variety of different collision situations. Check them out as well.
Once you’ve narrowed down the field a bit, it’s time to start looking for your new, used car (isn’t that an oxymoron?). Look for some of the less popular, but still functional, reliable, and safe brands. You’ll save some money for example, by foregoing a Honda for a Nissan, or skipping a Toyota and landing in the driver’s seat of a Mazda. One other point to consider is that today’s vehicles hold up remarkably well with far beyond 100,000 miles showing on the odometer. In fact, they can still look and run almost new at this figure. So, don’t let a few miles scare you. You’re buying the car for what it has left, not what it has.
Once you found a car that seems to fit your requirements, there are some things you should check to make sure you are in fact getting a good, cheap car, not just a cheap car. Locating one that has been well taken care of is vital. While today’s vehicles are remarkably robust, they do require regular maintenance to ensure they will provide the years of service of which they are capable.
They may run like Swiss watches, with the highly engineered, internal parts spinning about in a fine, choreographed ballet, but that example of modern engineering could turn into a pile of very expensive junk if it doesn’t get the care it feels it deserves. The subsystems for modern vehicles are very expensive. It’s not uncommon for a transmission to cost between $3,000 and $6,000. An engine may set you back almost $10,000. The moral here is that a bit of careful investigation could save you a big headache later. You need to act like a horse trader in the old west. Look at the old girl to be sure you really want to take her home.
When you’re out shopping, you should definitely check the vehicle’s history. You may discover all manner of horrors hiding in it’s sordid past. Carfax works very well for this. Bring a laptop or mobile device to access the web while you’re shopping. You can get unlimited uses for a month for a pretty reasonable price, so you can check out a large number of prospective vehicles as you’re shopping.
When you’re actually looking at the car, kneel down and sight down the car’s body lines. If they are wavy or you can see obvious imperfections in the paint, chances are the car has been damaged and repaired at some point. Another trick is to bring a small magnet with you. If the car has metal body that’s been repaired with body filler putty, the magnet will not adhere to the repair as well as it does to the other parts of the body. Crawl under the car and check the frame or unibody members for any signs of bending, corrosion or other damage. See if it looks like the car’s underside has been places you wouldn’t take a car you loved.
Pop open the hood. Pull out the dipstick to check the oil. See if the oil is between the ?add? and ?full markers, and if it’s black or a nice, golden brown. If it’s thick and black, the oil probably has been neglected. Check to see of there’s any white substance mixed with the oil. That’s usually engine coolant. It’s not supposed to be in there with the engine’s oil. If it is, there’s a blown gasket or an even more serious engine problem. That won’t be an inexpensive car, but it may be a cheap one.
Check the tires for uneven wear. If the tires need to be replaced soon, that may not be a trivial expense on many cars. You could spend $350 – $600 on a new set of treads, mounted and balanced. The car’s tires are extremely important to vehicle safety, handling, braking and acceleration however, so don’t skimp if you do have to put on a new set of tires. Just be sure you use the fact in your negotiations. Uneven tire wear may also be indicative of a greater problem, such as a suspension or alignment issue. It could also mean the car has been wrecked in the past and not repaired correctly.
You need to decide where you want to look for your car. You can choose a private party. You can often get a great deal from a private party. See if you can discover their reason for selling the car. Some insight here may determine if you have a highly motivated seller and give you the upper hand in the negotiation. Another benefit to a private party is that you’ll often get the car’s service records. These can boost the resale for you later and shed light on any past problems.
You can obviously buy from a dealer. There are hundreds of lots brimming with shiny used cars in most metro areas. You won’t get as good a deal from a dealer (?) in most cases, but you won’t have to meet 46 different sellers either. In addition, you can possibly get some kind of warranty of the dealer offers one. If you do elect to avail yourself of a warranty, read the entire contract vewy, vewy carewfuwy.
You can buy your cheap, used car from an auction. There are many different kinds of vehicle auctions. Many law enforcement agencies sell off vehicles confiscated according to property forfeiture laws. These laws allow the agencies to keep property of those arrested for a variety of crimes, particularly drug crimes. If the perp had pride in his ride, you can get a very nice vehicle. Other auctions are held to dispose of vehicles seized by customs officials, abandoned at towing yards, or to satisfy tax liens. You can also find fantastic deals at auctions held to liquidate vehicle fleets of large businesses, such as phone and utility companies. It’s not uncommon for vehicles to be sold for far lower than they would in any other marketplace, often at only pennies on the dollar..
The downside of auctions is, you guessed it, you know nothing about these cars. In addition you can’t drive them in most cases. In the cases where you can drive them, you’ll only be permitted to take them for a slow spin around the auction yard. Another downside is inventory selection at many vehicle auctions. The selection can range form outstanding to very limited. You know what, though? Many used cars on dealer lots are found at auctions. The dealers keep this little secret tucked safely away inside their little book of tricks. If you could get your new car at an auction you could pay what the dealer’s pay, sometimes less.
Next time you need to buy a cheap, used car, remember there is one for you out there somewhere. You just need to find it. Remember, cheap and good!
There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to get a great car, cheap. If you hate to deal with the dealer, you’re not alone, but you can be one of those that works your dealer over, instead of the other way around. If you want to be one of the few that actually enjoys the car buying process and knows how to find the best cheap cars, check out the buy a used car cheap guide.
The New Wave of Digital Fabric Printing Technology
Historical review in textile printing
Textile printing is a method by which fabrics are printed in various colors, arts and designs. It is a very old art developed and created on fabrics in Egypt during 5000 B.C. Fabrics also found printed in Greek during 4th century. B.C, also it is noted that printing blocks were sourced from India in 5th century. B.C. During that time, France acknowledged as popular center of this type of cloth production and printing. Japan was popular for adding stencil work in wood by making blocks and further by pasting dies and prints it in fabrics.
In the Mid-15th Century, with the invention of printing press by John Gutenberg there was a drastic change seen in printing technology and textile printing. After practicing by William Caxton in England, there was a remarkable widespread seen in relief printing technology in 1476. In sixteen and seventeen century with the export of spices, India became major provider of printing fabrics and products, like calico, pajama, gingham, dungaree, chintz and khaki according to the requirement of European countries. Then by the efforts by Grant, Thomas Bell and many printers, with the invention of wood block (1760), copper block (1770) and copper roller (1797) printing technology in the eighteenth century, especially the trend of cotton printing spread, still it can be seen at the Toile de Jouy Museum.
The history of fabric printing in Dartford goes away with Augustus Applegath’s acceptance of a silk printing works in the town and it sustained until 1865 when James Keymer established a new fabric printing works on the banks of the River Darent. In 1907 Samuel Simon was used a fabric printing system in which the designs were shaped from stencils through screen printing machines. In 1940’s first photographic stencil was built up by Colin Sharp. After development of computers, the printing process and its developments geared up in their colors.
Development in last two decades
With the improvement in the printing technology, color inkjet printers played an important role in digital fabrics for the consumer market in the late 1980s. That time Canon and Hewlett-Packard became leaders in the printing technology. Canon’s Bubble Jet printers were received so acceptance in the market. Again latest technology geared up in their improvement with the existence of a large format color inkjet printer – the Iris printer in the 1990s, but that technology was not considered as ideal tool for the fabrics due to light sensitive color problem, rather it was accepted for paper printing.
Earlier, direct printing method used for fabric with the computer and the printing is made with the computer inks; it was the time where fabric was printed using only black images or text because of the availability of only laser printers and ribbon printers and there were no color printers. In 1999 Bubble Jet Set printing technology developed, which permits fabric to be treated, amalgamated to freezer paper with an iron and then operate through an ink jet printer.
The meaning of Digital fabric/Textile Printing
The digital fabrics printing technology is existed since last decade, it emerged after 1994. It is a skill that prints the designs on fabric, immediately from your computer, without extra efforts just like printing and designing a paper. Digital textile printing is a flexible tool and a key acceptable to the vision of mass customization. It permits the user to evade the screen making process, offering the chance for quick changes to color or design elements prior to printing.
Advantages of digital fabric printing over traditional printing technology
Generally, textile printing has been operated through transferring media, such as screens and rollers. Each transferring media is designed and allocated for a specific color. A block printing and engraved copper printing are operating through these methods. A number of woodblocks that are designed in block printing give a number of colors in design. Advantage of using this type of method is that you can have three dimensional effects due to its color separation and layers, and still today rotary screen printing method is used in designing of traditional floral patterns and toile designs. Mechanical or traditional fabric printing methods some times manipulate in both way, by design aesthetics and styles, while in the field of printed textile design with the latest digital fabric printing technology it enhanced the style and meaning of printed textile design. It is a fact that the new latest methods of digital printing on fabrics have exposed new horizons to the designers and manufacturers. Digital printing methods have facilitated manufactures to make a digital sampling and have advantages of change in designs before engraving. By adopting digital printing techniques you can re-adjust conventional printing design and can able to give new looks in design.
Today, many customers are demanding fabrics to be printed with various color combinations, styles, designs, traditional designs and looks, but to co-up with these customization demands there has been a limitation to attend the entire mass market with traditional printing technology. Digital printing profits over conventional printing it provide noteworthy benefits like quick turn-around, efficient set-up and speed, economical and great flexibility, takes less time, alteration possible etc. And in today’s customer oriented market the printing technology is not limited to wearing wears; but it bounds to its limits and reaches to the requirements of trade show graphics, picture of huge fabric posters of television and movie stars, advertising purposes, flags and banners and many mores.
Unlike any traditional textile printing technology, the main benefit of digital fabric printing is in its process color application with its latest printers, software applications. Photographic and tonal graphics shaped millions of colors with Photoshop and can be printed on fabric according to the color combination requirement. Wider color scope and finer printing quality are available with the latest development of inks, color management software. In the traditional process colors of CMYK, you can have various color combination with addition of extra preset colors like orange, blue, green, and also there is availability of various type of software with these complex color combination. These preset colors reduce importance of screens or rollers for printing, and there is no need of repeat the size and other combination with no limit with color combinations in designs.
From digital textile printing technology you can have latest innovative and creative deigns like concepts of shadow, shimmering, vibration, reflection, moire, optical, translucent, netting, blurring, layering, superimposing, etc., instead of making special efforts with traditional methods of printing. Today, the printing technology developed so tremendously and became so eco-friendly, user-friendly that, even designers can make its products without taking help from textile designers.
Digital Printing Advantages
. Design achieved with greater flexibility, without the limitation of on repeat size, colors, engineered designs and gets outstanding depiction of continuous tone (photographic) images
. The digital printing equipment not requires much infrastructure and it is comparatively available in less cost
. Drastically trim down time to market the products
. It also decrease the use of water, dyes & solutions hence acts as an environmentally friendly tool
. It decreases industrial waste and print loss, provides centralize manufacturing facility
. Mass customization requirements easily available in short time
. Availability of fast greater speed of operation, high resolution / drop Size & configuration with spot colors combination or color control without lack of standards
Types of digital fabric printing technologies
There are various types of digital printing technology available in market like thermal DOD Ink jet
Piezoelectric DOD ink jet, airbrush/valve jet, electrostatic (sublimation & resin), thermal transfer, electro photography (Laser, LED), photographic development, continuous ink jet (CIJ) etc.
DOD Ink jet fabric printing method: DOD Ink jet printing method bring a drop of ink or dyes only when needed for printing that is why it is called drops on demand ( DOD ), i.e. it works on the principal “only when and where required in the design” . This system works as environment friendly, because of its “no paste, no waste “method, and the complete color reaches to the fabric.
Piezoelectric DOD ink jet fabric printing method: It uses electrostatic forces for arrangement and spraying of micro drops of inks or dyes in fabric printing. Here high voltages are applied to piezoelectric crystals for producing directional current. The advantage of using this methods are it formulation directional ink, where inks not heated , hence less expensive, printing heads works at its cycles per second and provides high resolution by applying small drop size of inks or dyes.
Electrostatic Sublimation Transfer Printing : Sublimation is a method whereby a solid dyes turns exactly into a gas without passing through a liquid state, can be transferred to a fabric (e.g. polyester) and re-solidify as a solid color again. Dye sublimation is a two-step process that needs additional equipment to the electrostatic printers for dye-sub. Also it requires a special paper for heating at the heat press; electrostatic printer. It is also called sublimation transfer printing. These inks or dyes can be printed onto paper from either a silkscreen process or from printers attached with ribbons with the sublimation inks. These papers then can transmit images onto fabrics.
Direct ink jet transfer method: The direct ink jet transfer method is direct transfer, or printing directly onto fabric with an inkjet printer. This process expensive and the fabrics require to be coated in order to effectively allow the inks or dyes.
Continuous ink jet fabric printing method: The ink is constantly pushed out of the ink channel by a pump by a nozzle attached with a PZT material and it generates an “ink-jet”. Using an electrical power on the PZT material, the nozzle shakes, breaches the ink jet into droplets of ink and used for printing fabrics. Continuous ink jet fabric printing method also available with its binary hertz operation and multi-deflection system.
Software application in digital fabric printing: For digital fabric printing Color management Systems (CMS, Calibration), Raster Image Processor (RIP), printer driver software, design lay out software (CAD), etc are widely used.
Development in printing equipment
At present Ichinose ImageProofer, Stork Amethyst, Dupont Artistri2020, Mimaki TX2-1600, Encad, NovaJet 880, Zimmer Chromotex, ColorSpan, FabriJet, Aprion Magic, Leggett and Platt Virtuetc, Imaje-Osiris, Reggiani DReAM, Robustelli Mona Lisa, Leggett & Platt UV-dye, Mimaki TX2 & TX 3 etc latest printers or equipment with their developed brand name or version are widely using for getting effective results.
Latest digital inks: Today most fabric printers or manufacturers uses reactive & acids in various colors, dispersed inks, finishing inks for light, color, pigments etc. Ink specialist such as Ciba Specialty Chemicals, DuPont, Dystar ( BASF), CHT, Lyson, Brookline, ECS and Kimberly Clark have developed digital form of conventional dyes such as reactive, acid, disperse and pigment. These inks permit printers to make prints on their specific type of fabrics.
According to Ray Work of DuPont, the worldwide market for textile chemicals is at $22 billion, of which around 36% is dyes and pigments. Finishing and coatings includes 38%. A foremost improved, according to Work, is that now almost every type of fabric can be digitally printed by ink jet, be grateful to progress in inks
For DuPont Artistri 2020 Printer DuPont Artistri 700 Series Ink is (acid dye ink chemistry) used for Nylon, Nylon/Lycra, Silk, Wool. For Polyester, Nylon, Nylon/Lycra processing disperse dye ink is used, for Cotton, Polyester, Cotton/Poly Blends, Viscose/Rayon Linen, Nylon*, Nylon/Lycra, Silk, Wool pigmented ink chemistry available. DuPont Solar Brite Ink is used especially for active wear, swimwear, intimate apparel, flags and accessories.
Digital textile printing technology in present market
For digital textile printing technology, there are three types of demands exists in market, which are sampling, strike-off, and mass customization.
Sampling: The sampling demand involves printing on paper and fabrics with an intimate concentration and compliance to the usual screen printing which is used for manufacturing.
Strike-off: Strike-off is a product of sample for a single, salable item for markets such as luxury, entertainment, or special events.
Mass customization: Mass customization is the third main products area and it creates an immense deal of concentration by mass customers.
The future markets: Besides the above existed segment, the digital fabric printing technology will be booming with their batch production printing and low volume demand fabric printing.
Its industry size is calculated: 300,000 Retailer “Doors” and 20,000+ Manufacturer “Doors”,
400 Companies Manufacture 80% of all apparel,
Apparel & Related Volume is $180B,
All Others’ Goods represent $36B.
Textile Printing Trends
The world wide trends: Decline in US print production, there seems growth of Asian print production and decreasing production run lengths, demand for greater design variety, demand for shorter production cycles and demand for reduced inventory risk.
Cotton is the most frequently printed material (48% of printing production), followed by cotton/polyester blends (19%), polyester (15%), and viscose (13%). From a worldwide viewpoint, other material (e.g. polyamide, polyacrylic, wool and silk) involve with a little part.
Prospecting Market
There are a range of new textile industry products you can print with digital printing, which covers wall covering, Info-banners, car covers, artworks, and flags and including museums, galleries, and exhibitors for multi disciplinary products, used in printing of education system or related products and there are many prospects for both direct and transfer digital printing e.g. for printing mouse pads ( new fabric surfaces and base materials), apparel prototyping for spot color, linking prototyping to production, and digitally-generated screens etc.
Digital textile production has been increasing at about 13% worldwide. The worldwide volume of digitally-printed textiles has been reaching about 44 million square meters by 2005. Duo to the high quality performance, in short time the availability of products, multidiscipline design, eco-friendly , cost- effective , etc advantages in digital textile printing technology, there exits a new market opportunities for this technology and it will be applicable to, backgrounds printing, scenes for theaters, film studios, photographers, music and sports events, road shows, parades, high profile catering, presidential campaigns, promotion organizers, advertising agencies, universities, churches, parties, for hanging signs, displays systems, packing, for sampling, for prototyping and new designs sampling, short run production, for interior designers to make curtains, upholstery, table cloth, bed ware etc.

The 10 Items You Need to Consider Before You Attempt Any Home Improvement Project
Doing a home improvement project can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately it could also be wrought with headaches and problems, as many thousands of people would attest to.
Good project planning starts with evaluating all the “costs or changes” that may occur or could occur by doing a project. The items I am referring to can easily be overlooked by many, causing numerous problems down the line.
Therefore make sure you carefully consider the following items and how your new project could effect them.
You need to consider the following items before starting any project::
1. Cost of increased property taxes?
Any project that you are required to file a building permit for will usually result in increased property taxes. Check with your local building department or someone you know who has done a similar project to see what the effect on your property taxes will be.
2. Cost of additional homeowner’s insurance?
Various items that you add on to your home could increase your insurance premium.. Projects adding additional living space usually require additional insurance coverage. You may also want to check with your insurance company to see what type of coverage you’ll have on your new project.
3. Added cost of utilities (heating, cooling, electrical, septic, etc.)?
All to often people add a bathroom to their house but forget about the additional drainage into their septic system and they subsequently have a problem.
The heating and cooling systems may be undersized for the additional space you might want to add, which subsequently will lead to your home being under heated and/or under cooled.
Any project that requires electric will require adding to your existing circuit box. If you have a small electric service, such as a 60 or 100 amp service, you may need to upgrade to a 150 or 200 amp service.
4. Recouping investment?
Must people who do a project expect to recoup the cost of the project once they sell their home. This is sometimes not the case. Studies have shown that adding a pool or deck does little to add value to your home.
5. Is it more cost effective to move?
If you need more living area you may be better off to move rather than add-on. Finding a real “bargain” on another house in your area could be more cost effective than adding on.
You may also be able to get a “better deal” on a mortgage when you go to buy another home. If rates are lower than you are currently paying you would be able to borrow more at the same monthly payment. But don’t forget to take into account the closing fees and moving costs.
Usually moving from one area of the US, where houses are at a premium, to an area where they are not will almost certainly guarantee more bang for your buck
6. Emotional cost (stress)?
A difficult area to access. The stress level you experience depends largely on the project and the type of personality of the individual(s). For example, if you like your home nice and neat and are thinking of renovating a kitchen expect to feel a lot of stress. There are so many variables to consider so make sure you are aware of what to expect when your project is being built prior to the project starting.
7. Will you need to upgrade any mechanical system (plumbing, electrical, AC)?
A good architect or engineer should be able to calculate if your current systems are adequate or not.
8. Check zoning regulations to insure project is permitted and under what conditions?
Nothing is worse then building something you really love and then having to tear it down. Check with your local building department to make sure what you want to do is within the local ordinance and building codes.
9. Lead or asbestos removal?
If your home was built prior to 1978, then lead or asbestos could be an issue. Lead can be found in soil and other surfaces including paint. Asbestos can be found in a variety of areas including insulation, ceiling tiles and siding. If you have a home built prior to 1978, have it inspected for lead or asbestos. If you need to get lead or asbestos removed from your property, use a certified removal contractor.
10. How will this project affect access to and around my property?
The last thing you want to do is complete a project and then find out there is a problem because the location or materials are wrong. A perfect example would be putting in undersized doors. You don’t realize their undersized until you try to get something in or out of the house or area. Oops!

Finding Contractors for Your Home Improvements
You have decided to pursue some home improvements and know you need professional help. Now you just need to figure out how to find quality contractors.
Finding Contractors for Your Home Improvements
A contractor is a construction professional or company that does…well, construction. There are different types of contractors. A general contractor is responsible for overseeing the entire project and bringing in sub-contractors that specialize in some particular area such as electrical installation, drywall, framing, pools and so on.
The general contractor acts as the coordinator and is essentially where the buck stops when you have question, comments or criticisms. The “GC” is specifically responsible for supervising all the work, hiring and paying subcontractors, buying materials and making sure everything meets the requirements of building codes. Any GC you use should be licensed by the state in which you live. If they are not, do no hire them.
When you start searching for a general contractor, the first thing you will discover is there are a lot of them. In fact, there are over a million licensed general contractors in the United States. So, how do you find the best of the best?
Words are cheap unless you are talking to a lawyer, psychiatrist or IRS agent. In relation to your project, this means you should not rely on the sales pitch of a contractor. Instead, the best method for finding a good general contractor is to ask friends, family and neighbors. Importantly, do not ask if they know someone. Instead, ask if they have ever had improvements done by a GC and how it went. You do not want a referral to someone who is a third cousin of somebody. You want a referral to a contractor that has proven they do good work and handle a project competently.
Once you have some referrals, you want to sit down and meet with each personally. You should ask them about their licensing, the types of projects they handle, references from other clients that have done projects for and their contractor’s license number. If they hesitate at all in responding to any of these questions, move on to the next referral.
Once you narrow down your field of potential candidates, show them what you want done. Ask them if they have every done this type of project before. Then get written estimates from all of them. Once you have the estimates, are any of them significantly higher or lower than the others? If so, find out why. Once you have a feel for the basis of the estimates, you can make your selection. Do not just pick the cheapest offer.
Finding a general contractor for your project should not be hard. Finding the right contractor, however, takes a little bit of work.

Vitamins – An Overview
Vitamins are diverse in nature and are organic substances contained in the food and drink we consume. They are essential for the preservation of life and promotion of growth. A shortage of an important vitamin in our diet can lead to poor health and disease. Vitamins perform a different function to that of carbohydrates, fats and proteins but collectively they are all important ingredients of our diet. Many diseases are prevented by our body absorbing vitamins in the correct quantities. They help keep our essential organs such as heart, lungs and liver healthy. Vitamins help maintain strong and healthy bones, teeth, muscle and all the parts that make up the physical structure of our bodies, including skin, blood vessels and arteries. Even the function of our brain is reliant on the right levels of vitamins being maintained in our body. Vitamins also help with the prevention of cancer. If we eat a healthy balanced diet then the body will absorb most if not all of the essential vitamins it needs. Unfortunately, with modern lifestyles and eating habits, we do not always get the right vitamins in the correct quantities. It then becomes necessary to look at vitamin supplements to make up the shortfall in our bodies requirements. This article is only intended to give an overview of vitamins and their importance. We should all be aware of the essential vitamins and the amount of each we should consume in our normal diet or as supplements where our normal diet is deficient. Too much of any particular vitamin is not usually a problem since the body will automatically reject the excess in our urine, particularly those vitamins which are water soluble. Some vitamins are fat soluble and the body does not necessarily deal with excess amounts in the same way, so we need to monitor those more carefully. However, it is the deficiency of vitamins which is of main concern because our body cannot absorb what isnot there. We should make ourselves aware of the important vitamins, the minimum and in some cases the maximum daily intake and the signs to look for in our health which would indicate a vitamin deficiency. If we are under medication from a doctor then that can affect the balance of vitamins required in which case we should seek the advice of our doctor. Otherwise it is up to us to educate ourselves and monitor our own health.

Business classifieds
Online classifieds are a valuable asset for promoting any business, particularly online business, than print media like newspapers, editorials or magazines. The more the number of visitors in classifieds websites, the better the chances of success in advertising campaigns of any businesses ventures.
Placing advertisements for business which includes small online business, business development, business capital, business for lease or sale, business products or services and home based business opportunities like work from home in online free classifieds websites will attract potential visitors towards them.
Recent studies indicate that the business classifieds are browsed for mostly acquiring information on any businesses which are on sale or which are available for lease. The business sellers should describe the details of their businesses and within short time they will be tracked down by potential buyers. Attracting visitors to advertisements is half the course of purchasing or selling businesses. On business leases, the advertisement owners should clearly mention the time the business will be available on lease and in how many payments.
These classified websites are a perfect tool for business owners to advertise their services or products. The younger generations search these classifieds for work from home business opportunities like processing e-mails, preparing marketing newsletters for business companies or any freelance work in their respective industries.
Considering cost-effective standards, most of the times free classifieds stand ahead of paid classifieds due to the willingness of ad owner to place an ad for free and amount of high traffic thus generated by free classifieds visitors and viewers. Although there are many advantages of posting online business classifieds, there are quite a handful of problems which may be serious for any business ventures like scams or frauds. The advertisements owners should be responsible by being careful in any dealings with the clients or customers.

5 Common Mistakes To Avoid When Buying A Used Car
The used car market is huge, and every day lots of people are spending way too much money when they buy a used car. Dealers count on this. In fact, the used car section of most new car dealerships is one of the most profitable departments for the dealer. There are usually very common mistakes that most people make that cost them money. Let’s review them here:
1. Not doing advance research to know what their current car is worth. This is a very common mistake that is so easy to solve today. There are two major providers of used car value information in the US and they are (1) Kelly Blue Book and (2) the NADA Guide. It used to be that you had to find someone who had a copy of one of either of them to find out what your vehicle is worth. But now all you have to do is just log onto the internet and go to their websites to get a quick, easy figure with no hassle. It’s worth the time taken to know what your car is worth as you start to negotiate a trade-in or sale.
2. Not doing the homework needed to find out what car will be best for you. All too often shoppers make the mistake of getting too focused on one particular brand or model and not even considering alternatives, simply because either they don’t know about the others, or they are just allowing emotions to rule their buying decision instead of being well-informed. If you get too emotionally attached to one car, this plays into the hands of the dealer and you will most likely pay a lot more for the car than you would if didn’t let emotion control the process.
3. Not arranging financing beforehand. These days it just makes no sense to rely on a car dealer to finance your vehicle for you after you have picked it out. When you do that you are now allowing the dealer to mark up the financing arrangements and get paid a portion of the loan profits as a result. You will never usually notice it though because it is hidden in the monthly payments. Instead, there are many great loan companies that offer loans direct to consumers over the internet, and you can get all of your financing needs taken care of in advance. This leaves you free to negotiate the very best deal for the car you want without financing entering the picture and muddying the waters.
4. Not doing a thorough test drive. It’s amazing how many people only spend a few minutes in a car that they plan to use for the next several years and call it a test drive. Especially with used cars you need to get to know that car and make sure that it performs as you desire in whatever kind of driving conditions that you plan to use it, and take the time necessary to test it thoroughly. Also make sure that anyone else can fit into the car comfortably if you have family and friends that travel with you often.
5. Not having the car inspected by a qualified mechanic. This is perhaps one of the most significant reasons that buyers wind up with a car that has problems. Unless you are a mechanic yourself, you most likely will not be able to truly determine the mechanical condition of the car. By taking it to an independent mechanic and asking for a written report on the vehicle’s condition, you should have a pretty good idea of whether this car is in sound condition or not.
If you avoid the common mistakes mentioned above, you can often buy a used car at the right price, that fits your needs and wants, and get peace of mind in the bargain.About the Author

Big 12 Notebook

Dan Hawkins is no longer in the Western Athletic Conference.
Hawkins can’t go back and coach Boise State, where he was employed before leaving for Colorado. In five seasons there, Hawkins was 53-11 overall as a coach. But no loss was as hurtful as the one on Saturday that pushed his won-loss record to 53-12.
This is the Big 12, and expectations are a little higher around here than the WAC. And Hawkins must solve the Buffaloes’ problems and clean up the image of the program after it endured years of it under former coach Gary Barnett. On the field, Colorado won the last two Big 12 North titles, but that seems long ago now.
Yet, somehow, one would think Hawkins’ new team should have defeated Division I-AA Montana State on Saturday.
A 19-10 loss at home is embarrassing, and Hawkins knows it.
“We understand that most people here will jump on our loss, but we all find out about ourselves when we’re losing,” Hawkins said to reporters following the loss. “And in some respects, it might be a blessing.”
Really?
Maybe this loss was in the works for a while.
Colorado finished 2005 with a four-game losing streak. What made the streak painful, and what cost Barnett his job was a 70-3 loss to Texas in the Big 12 title game. And then, a 19-10 loss to Clemson in the Champs Sports Bowl ended the season.
Montana State coach Mike Kramer told the Rocky Mountain News the Texas loss will have a lasting effect on the Colorado program.
“It was devastating and may take years for them to overcome, because this school is one with great pride — it’s just going to take a very long time.”
Next is Colorado State, which is a two-point favorite over Colorado on WagerWeb.com. Hawkins and his crew better get their act together before Big 12 play begins. If not, Hawkins’ won-loss record will get heavy on the right side of the ledger.
Texas: The second-ranked defending champs have landmark game this week when No. 1 Ohio State comes to Austin. There should be huge plays on this game on WagerWeb.com (Longhorns -2 1/2). It’s probably Texas’ biggest home game since 1999 when then No. 18 Texas defeated No. 3 Nebraska, 24-20. The big key for the Longhorns is the running game. As a unit, Texas rushed for 212 yards on 44 carries in the win over North Texas last week. Selvin Young (44 yards) started and shared carries with Jamaal Charles (77 yards). If Texas can run the ball, maybe, just maybe, the Longhorns can pull off the victory.
Texas Tech: New quarterbacks were all over the place in the opening week of the season and no quarterback gets looked at more closely than here. Is it the system? The coach? The quarterback? What makes the Texas Tech offense work? Well, for one thing, sophomore Graham Harrell is pretty good. He threw for 342 yards and five touchdowns in his debut against Southern Methodist on Saturday. Harrell looked poised in the pocket, and his big offensive line gave him the time to throw the ball. What also helped was receiver Robert Johnson, who caught a single-game school record 15 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Of Johnson’s 15 receptions, six were for either a first down or touchdown.
Oklahoma: Entering the season, the Sooners’ defense was thought of as a strength. But after allowing 304 yards to UAB and struggling to stop the run at times, OU coach Bob Stoops didn’t appear happy. “The defense has gotten a lot of attention, and they’ve been bragged on,” Stoops said in the Dallas Morning News. “They weren’t nearly as good as they were billed to be.” Just how upset are the OU coaches with the defense? Well, usually talkative co-defensive coordinator Brent Venables wasn’t around for the post-game news conference.
Kansas State: Ron Prince made his coaching debut a good one when the Wildcats held off Illinois State. The Wildcats made a big defensive stand, stopping a 2-point conversion try in the final minute and scoring two special teams touchdowns in the victory. K-State has now scored in 116 straight games dating to the 1996 season. That streak should continue this week with a game against Florida Atlantic. K-State is a 22 1/2 point favorite on -> WagerWeb.com. The Wildcats are poised to go to at least 3-0 before a Sept. 23 clash against Louisville.
